Nick Harris – Co-Founder / Building Scientist:
Nick is a serial entrepreneur who is passionate about running businesses that make the world a better place. From an early age, Nick has been involved in energy efficiency remodeling and solar projects. When he was just 12, Nick and his father made their family home (then in freezing rural Maine) so efficient that it could be powered by just solar and heated by a single wood stove. Nick is a Building Performance Institute (BPI) trained and certified Building Analyst, and a Certified Green Building Professional. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from U.C. Berkeley, Nick focuses on cost-effectively optimizing buildings to reduce waste and improve people’s lives: a true win-win. As chair of Efficiency First’s Bay Area chapter, Nick works hard to promote responsible energy policy.
