Energy Beyond Design started by providing home energy audits and upgrades, but as of March 2011, we work with businesses and organizations.
For reference, this is what we used to do:
How a Home Energy Upgrade Works:

We Learn About Your Home Energy Concerns
During an initial free phone consultation, we learn about your home, including your concerns and improvement goals, and details about its structure, systems and energy bills. Based on our conversation, we’ll let you know if we think we can help you save energy and get rebates, and set up your home energy audit.

Professional Energy Auditors Diagnose Your Home
During an on-site analysis, our professional BPI certified Energy Auditors use blower doors, infrared cameras, carbon monoxide detectors and other equipment to diagnose causes of wasted energy. We test your home for draftiness, insulation levels, appliance loads, fossil fuel usage, and combustion safety. We gather all the data necessary to diagnose the precise causes of energy loss, health problems, and discomfort in your home. Computer energy modeling, extensive hands-on experience with Bay Area homes, and years of home performance training are applied to each and every home we energy audit.

We Develop An Energy Saving Improvement Plan With You
An energy saving improvement plan reviews the findings of your home energy audit, and recommends specific energy upgrades. Energy upgrades are prioritized by their energy savings potential and affordability. We work with you to determine which improvements you are ready to complete. The finalized plan will be custom tailored to your schedule, budget and other considerations.

Your Home Energy Upgrades Are Completed
By this point, we thoroughly understand your home and are ready to conduct the energy improvements. Our expert home performance contractors complete the improvements on time and on budget. Typical energy improvements include building envelope sealing (air sealing), attic insulation, floor insulation, duct system improvement, crawl-space vapor barriers, furnace tune-ups, high efficiency furnace replacements, window replacement, and solar. Performance testing is conducted during and following the work to make sure our efforts are creating an efficient, healthy, and comfortable home.

We Get You Up To $6,000 in Rebates and Incentives – You Save Energy In a Comfortable Home!
By improving your home energy usage, you qualify for rebates and energy efficiency incentives. We make sure you get the maximum possible from the various programs, which offer up to:
$3,500 from PG&E’s Energy Upgrade California Program
$1,500 Federal Tax Credit for Efficiency Improvements
$1,000 from the California Cash for Appliances Program
After your energy upgrades, energy bills go down, and you enjoy a comfortable, healthy home that is better for the environment.
